Help families create a moment of fun, calm, and connection during a stressful day. Craft kits give patients and siblings something creative to do while they wait between appointments, procedures, or hospital visits. These can range from a coloring book and crayons to a particular craft with supplies and instructions.

Having a sick child is tough. Parents and caregivers need to take care of themselves. We are always looking for special opportunities that can bring smiles to parents on hard days. One easy way is by giving them these Self Care Kits. We also use these as birthday gifts! Pack in simple tote or reusable bag.

Oftentimes, Ronald McDonald House serves as a baby’s first “home away from home.” It’s also common that the families staying with us have their newborn unexpectedly and come to stay with us without much warning. It’s nice to have a kit to give families celebrating their new addition and shower them with love!

Using stretch elastic cord and a mix of colorful beads, charms, and letter beads, the possibilities are endless! Get creative with colors and designs, and consider spelling out an uplifting word or phrase like Brave, Warrior, Believe, Choose Joy, U Got This, or 1 Day at a Time. Please avoid “Get Well Soon” (as some conditions are chronic) and religious references.
