Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms offer families of hospitalized children places to rest, sleep overnight, eat, shower, do laundry, and more—all within the hospital, just steps away from their child’s bedside.

This location features three Family Rooms. 

Visit our Family Rooms on Levels 2, 3, and 4:

HOURS
Daily from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm

Exclusively serving parents of patients of the Pediatric ICU, Neuro Trauma Unit, and Cardiac ICU. For more space, full families may gather in the main Ronald McDonald House Family Room on Level 3.

FEATURES

Four rooms for daytime naps or overnight stays, a quiet respite area, kitchenette with snacks and beverages, restroom, shower, and laundry room.

  • All amenities are provided free of charge
  • Overnight stays in the Family Room are scheduled by unit social workers
  • For access, please obtain a security badge at the North Security Desk

Serving inpatient and outpatient families, this is the largest Ronald McDonald House Family Room in the world! We are happy to provide pediatric patient families with this home-away-from-home to rest and recharge.

Meals are lovingly prepared and served here by community volunteers. Families can also prepare meals from our pantry.

FEATURES

Four overnight guest rooms, a fully-stocked kitchen and spacious dining room, living room, a quiet meeting space, laundry facility, computers equipped with printers and fax availability, and a beautiful view of the Salt Lake Valley.

  • All amenities are provided free of charge
  • 3,545 square feet
  • Naps are scheduled for 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, no referral needed
  • Overnight stays are scheduled by unit social workers
  • For access, please obtain a security badge at the North Security Desk

Mon–Fri: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Sat–Sun: 9:00 am to 5:00pm

Exclusively serving parents with patients of the 52-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the 30-bed Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and Cancer Units.

FEATURES

Two overnight guest bedrooms, kitchenette with snacks and beverages, seating area, private shower, laundry facilities, and Wi-Fi access.

  • All amenities are provided free of charge
  • Naps are scheduled for 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, no referral needed
  • Overnight stays are scheduled by unit social workers
  • For access, please obtain a security badge at the North Security Desk
